Who we are

Liveathome operates IMOK. This policy explains what we collect, why, and who can see it.

Data we collect

Account: name, email (from Google or Apple, including Hide My Email), locale, timezone, terms acceptance.

Circle: invites, watch directions, approvals, checks you configure for people you watch.

Signals: I’m OK, I need help, cancel help, heartbeats, steps, movement, heart-rate sample presence, unlock/phone used, charging, geofence enter/exit, experimental TV/radio/flush labels. Each signal may include device context: GPS (lat/lon/accuracy/age), battery percent and charging state, network type (wifi / cellular / none), whether the phone believes it is on home Wi‑Fi (boolean only), device time and timezone, app foreground/background, and today’s step total if already collected.

Devices: push tokens (FCM), platform, notification locale.

Not collected: raw audio, SMS, call contents, other apps’ screens, home Wi‑Fi SSID (stays on device), advertising IDs for ads.

Why we collect it

To run check-ins, show last-known context to people who watch you, send help and overdue notifications, and let you export or delete your data.

Who can see your data

Watchers with an active direction can see your recent signals and latest context (including location if you granted GPS). People you only watch cannot see your context. Pending or revoked directions do not grant access.

We do not sell your data. We use hosting (Postgres, our API), Google/Apple for sign-in, and Firebase Cloud Messaging for push. We do not use Firestore, Storage, or client-side Supabase access.

Retention

Signals are kept about 90 days, then deleted. Latest context on your profile stays until overwritten or you delete the account. You can export or delete everything in Settings.

Permissions (on the phone)

Location, notifications, activity/steps, Health, microphone (experimental sounds), and (Android) phone state for call/unlock approximations are requested in-app. Deny any of them; the rest of the app still works. Help still sends without GPS.

Children

IMOK is not directed at children under 13 (or the age required in your country).

Changes

We may update this policy. Continued use after an in-app notice means you accept the update.
